<p>? 台湾 徳明財経科技大学で行われた調印式には、台湾 徳明財経科技大学から盧秋玲学長、蕭玉燕国際長、部局長等、熊本大学から藤田豊 教育学部長、松永拓己 教育学研究科教授、事務部?課長が出席し、関係者が見守る中、藤田学部長と盧学長により協定書への署名が行われました。</p>
<p>? 協定の更新にあたり、関係者への感謝の意を表した上で、さらなる交流の発展を継続していくことで合意しました。</p>
<p>? 翌１３日には、台湾 徳明財経科技大学の紹介で、西湖実験中学校、西湖小学校を訪問し、高毓璇中学校長、李三煌小学校長とバイリンガル教育の意見交換を実施し、実際に行われている授業を視察しました。</p>

<p><br/><strong> <span class="fontL">持続的な環境モデル『エコ?キャンパス』の実現に向けて</span><br/> <span class="fontL">力強く前に、歩みを続ける</span><br/><br/></strong></p>
<p> 世界各地で生じている地震や台風、集中豪雨、熱波や寒波などによる深刻な被害は、本年も人々の生活を脅かし<br/>続けています。我が国も例外ではなく、新年早々に能登半島で発生した地震の規模はマグニチュード7.6を記録し、<br/>奥能登を中心として甚大な被害をもたらしました。秋田県、山形県及び石川県の能登半島などでは、記録的な大雨<br/>により深刻な被害がもたらされました。<br/> 被災された国や地域の皆様の一刻も早い復旧?復興を心より願ってやみません。<br/><br/> ここに熊本大学環境報告書「えこあくと2024」を公表いたします。2023 年度に行った環境に配慮する活動を<br/>分かり易くまとめました。今回はデザインを一新して、一般雑誌のように更に読みやすい工夫を施しました。<br/> 本学の「環境理念」と「環境方針」に従って、施設?環境委員会と環境安全センターが連携して、エコ?キャン<br/>パスの実現を目指して構成員一同で環境に配慮する活動を行ってきました。万象城娱乐体育_万象城体育在线-官方网感染拡大の影響の<br/>ために実施を見あわせていた「キャンパスクリーンデー」や「ノーマイカーウィーク」を2023 年度から再開しま<br/>した。エネルギー使用では、附属病院施設に導入したESCO 事業の効果と相まって、エネルギー消費原単位（延床<br/>面積原単位）では、前年度比 7%減を達成しました。<br/><br/> 昨年の「えこあくと2023」では、気候変動というキーワードを切り口にして、本学で行われている研究の一例を<br/>ご紹介いたしましたが、今年の「えこあくと2024」では、水資源?生物多様性というキーワードを切り口にして、<br/>本学で行われている研究の一例をご紹介します。<br/><br/> 国立研究開発法人科学振興機構(JST)の事業「次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラム(SPRING)」における新規プロ<br/>ジェクトとして、本学のプロジェクト「Better Co-being 社会を切り拓く異分野共創型 博士イノベータ育成プログ<br/>ラム」が採択されました。本育成プログラムは、専門知(研究力強化)、総合知(文理融合)、トランスファラブルスキ<br/>ルを備え、異分野融合や共創により、予測不能な社会に応じた複雑な課題を解決できる国際的な博士イノベーター<br/>を育成する教育プログラムです。今年の「えこあくと2024」では、この育成プログラムによって支援を受けている<br/>博士後期課程の学生が行っている研究の一例をご紹介します。<br/><br/> 本報告書では、これまでも続けてきた「さらに読みやすく、伝えやすく、親しみやすい」を念頭に置き、本学の環<br/>境に配慮する活動を各カテゴリーに分類するとともに、動画や視覚的にわかりやすいグラフや写真を多く用いました。<br/><br/> 熊本大学は、「常に情報を発信し続ける大学」、「常に外から見える大学」、「常に外からの声に耳を傾け、発展<br/>し続ける大学」を目指し、挑戦を続けます。<br/> 今後ともご支援、ご協力のほどどうかよろしくお願い申し上げます。<br/><br/>2024年9月<br/>国立大学法人熊本大学<br/>学長 小川 久雄<br/><br/><br/></p>

<![CDATA[<p> 熊本大学では、肥後銀行と「人の行動様式をデータから読み解くための統計数理的研究」を共同で実施しており、その成果を発揮する場として様々なデータ分析コンペティションに参加しています。</p>
<p> 今般、株式会社SIGNATE（本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役社長：齊藤 秀）が主催するデータ分析コンペティションにおいて、肥後銀行チームが優勝いたしましたのでお知らせいたします。</p>
<p> 今回の分析コンペティションは、旅行会社の保有する顧客データ（属性や志向、営業担当との接触履歴等）を基に旅行パッケージの成約率を予測するモデルの精度を競うもので、全国から参加した1,226 チームの中からNo.1 のデータサイエンティストとなりました。</p>
<p>肥後銀行との包括連携協定について2021 年6 月より、地域の持続的発展に向けた万象城娱乐体育_万象城体育在线-官方网、地域連携および人材育成などの相互協力を目的に、肥後銀行と連携協定を締結しております。</p>

<![CDATA[<p> 熊本大学は９月<span>20</span>日、黒髪キャンパス全域で教育学部附属中学校の探究学習を実施しました。</p>
<p>附属中学校２年生及び３年生の生徒合計<span>311</span>人を対象に、午前は、工学部百周年記念館において小川久雄学長による専門領域の研究やこれまでの経験を踏まえた講話があり、その後、宇佐川毅教育?学生支援担当理事による「音の不思議」、富澤一仁大学改革?評価担当理事による「脳の機能について学ぶ」について研究紹介が行われた。附属中学校生徒は、興味津々に講話等を聞き、終了後には活発な質疑応答が行われました。</p>
<p> 午後は、夏休みの宿題として出された探究学習の課題テーマや問題点などについて<span>12</span>人の生徒が発表し、富澤一仁理事、宇佐川毅理事及び井福裕俊附属学校統括長がパネリストとなり、大学教授?研究者の視点から今後の探究学習における解決の糸口となりうるアドバイスを送りました。</p>
<p>また、黒髪キャンパス内にある国指定重要文化財である五高記念館やひご未来図書館の建物や大学ゆかりの人物の句碑やレリーフを見学するなどして大学生活の一端に触れました。</p>

<![CDATA[<p> 令和<span>6</span>年<span>9</span>月<span>19</span>日に藤原章夫文部科学事務次官が熊本大学黒髪キャンパスを訪問し、本学役員との意見の交換、及び教育研究施設等を視察されました。</p>
<p> はじめに、小川学長より、本学の取組状況等について説明があり、附属学校への国際クラス設置の準備状況を中心に意見交換が行われました。藤原事務次官からは、附属学校への国際クラス設置については、国立大学におけるリーディングケースにあたるため、引き続き適切に準備を進めてもらいたい旨発言がありました。</p>
<p>続いて、半導体先端研究のためのクラス１クリーンルーム、及び国の重要文化財に指定されている五高記念館を視察し、各施設において職員からの説明を受けられました。</p>

<![CDATA[<p> 令和6年<span>9</span>月<span>25</span>日、令和6年度熊本大学秋季卒業式?大学院秋季修了式が工学部百周年記念館で行われました。</p>
<p> 本年度は学士7名、修士20名、博士<span>21</span>名の合計48名が卒業?修了し、それぞれ新たなステージへの一歩を踏み出しました。</p>
<p> 出席者への学位記授与に続き、小川久雄学長から祝いの言葉が述べられるとともに、「本学の学生として卒業?修了されたことに自信と誇りを持っていただきたい?と、はなむけの言葉が贈られました。</p>
<p> また、学業成績優秀者として修了生のうち3名が表彰され、学長から表彰状と記念の楯が贈られました。</p>

<li>重度の貧血になると未熟な赤血球<sup>*1</sup>が育つのみではなく、造血幹細胞<sup>*2</sup>が急速に増幅し、より赤血球を作りやすく変化することを発見しました。</li>
<li>重度の貧血状況下では脂質代謝に関わるアポリポタンパク質E<sup>*3</sup>が増加し、表面に超低密度リポタンパク質（VLDL）受容体<sup>*4</sup>をもつ造血幹細胞に作用してより赤血球を作りやすくすることがわかりました。</li>
<li>本研究の成果により、これまで治療が困難だった重度貧血の治療法開発に結びつく事が期待されます。<br/><br/><br/><br/></li>

<p>【概要説明】 <br/>??? 熊本大学国際先端医学研究機構の三原田賢一特別招聘教授らの研究グループは、スウェーデン?ルンド大学の研究チームと共同で、体内で赤血球が増える新たなメカニズムを発見しました。これまで、急激な貧血が起こると赤血球になることが決定した未熟な細胞（赤芽球）が増える仕組みはわかっていましたが、より幼若な「造血幹細胞」がどう反応するかわかっていませんでした。本研究により、これまでの治療では十分な効果が得られなかった重度貧血などの新たな治療法開発につながると考えられます。本研究成果は令和6年9月16日（米国東海岸時間10:00）に科学雑誌「ネイチャー?コミュニケーションズ」に掲載されました。<br/><br/> <br/><br/><br/></p>
<p>【今後の展開】</p>
<p> エリスロポエチンは薬剤として貧血治療にも使われていますが、患者さんの中にはエリスロポエチンの効果が低い人もいます。また、貧血の治療には鉄剤の投与や輸血なども用いられていますが、頻繁な鉄剤投与や輸血は鉄の体内沈着を起こし、別の病気を起こす事も知られています。本研究の成果は、従来知られていた赤血球生産の仕組みとは異なる機序が存在することを示しており、これまでの治療法で十分に効果が得られなかった重度貧血の患者さんに対する新たな治療法開発につながることが期待されます。</p>

<p>【用語解説】</p>
<p>*1赤血球: 血管内を循環し、体中の組織に酸素を運搬する。また、二酸化炭素を結合し回収する役割も担う。腸内細菌等を除くと体内で最も数の多い細胞であり、人間を構成する細胞の80%以上が赤血球である。<br/><br/>*2造血幹細胞: すべての血液細胞の源である血液の幹細胞。すべての種類の血液細胞に分化する能力（多分化能）と、自身と同等の能力を持つ細胞を複製する能力（自己複製能）を有する。通常は骨髄内の微小環境で休眠しているが、血液細胞を多く作る必要があると休眠から起きて分裂を開始する。<br/><br/>*3アポリポタンパク質E（ApoE）: 脂質とタンパク質から構成される複合体であるリポタンパク質に含まれるタンパク質。中でも、カイロミクロンや超低密度リポタンパク質（VLDL）に含まれており、脂質代謝で重要な役割を担う。<br/><br/>*4超低密度リポタンパク質（VLDL）受容体: VLDLやApoEに結合するタンパク質で、細胞の表面に存在する。<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/></p>

<li style="text-align: justify;">細胞分裂の方向は、第一分裂後の細胞のかたちや核の場所をもとに決まるという数学的なルールをシミュレーション計算によって特定しました。</li>
</ul>
<p>【概要説明】 </p>
<p> 植物の基本的な構造は、茎や根のような円筒型です。内側の維管束と、外側の表皮とを繋ぐ平面的な内外軸をもつことが、植物のかたち作りにとって重要です。しかし、内外軸がいつ?どのように作られ始めるのかは長年の謎でした。<br/>東北大学の植田美那子教授、広島大学の藤本仰一教授、熊本大学の檜垣匠教授、東京大学の東山哲也教授らの共同研究グループは、モデル植物のシロイヌナズナにおいて、胚の最外層で働くHD-ZIP IV転写因子群を壊すと、内外軸がうまく作れなくなることを見出しました。また、受精卵から胚が次第に作られていく様子を、ライブイメージングによって詳細に追跡した結果、受精卵の第一分裂の直後から、この転写因子群の働きによって細胞が少し横に伸び、核が細胞の底面に位置することや、その後に細胞が左右に分裂し、内外分裂に至ることを発見しました。さらに、細胞のかたちと核の位置によって、数学的に最も安定な場所に分裂面が作られることを突き止めました。<br/>この研究によって、細胞のかたちや核の位置という幾何学的な情報をわずかに変化させるだけで分裂方向が決まるという、精緻な戦略が明らかになりました。この発見により、植物の体軸形成への理解が進むと期待されます。<br/>本研究成果はCurrent Biology誌に2024年9月19日付で掲載されます。</p>
<p>【展開】</p>
<p> 本研究では、植物の内外軸が作られ始める詳細な動態を世界で初めてリアルタイムで観察し、その過程に必要となる転写因子群や、数学的なルールも突き止めました。受精卵から作られる胚だけでなく、植物が成長する過程で茎から分岐する枝や花などの器官も、それぞれの内外軸を独自に設定することで、適切なかたちを生み出します。そこで今後は、本研究が明らかにした「内外軸を作る仕組み」が、ほかの器官にも共通した普遍的な機構かを調べる必要があります。また、育種の際に、有益な親株同士を掛け合わせて作った雑種胚が奇形になって育たない例が多くあり、植物のかたち作りの理解は農業研究にとっても重要です。したがって、今後は本研究をさらに発展させ、HD-ZIP IV転写因子群がどのように細胞の幾何学変化を引き起こすかを解明することで、植物のかたち作りをさらに深く理解できるだけでなく、農業研究にとっても有益な基盤情報を提供できると期待されます。</p>
